Hi Sachin,

Setting up DNS is not achievable within the Azure portal today - it is not one of the services provided. Instead you should purchase and configure it separately (for example I used GoDaddy in this article).

Thanks

www can work just as a CNAME, it does''t need to be anything else. Steve Marx does this here: http://blog.smarx.com/posts/custom-domain-names-in-windows-azure

The limitation to this, is that since it''s not an A record, you can''t access http://mywindowsazureapp.com - only by using http://www.mywindowsazureapp.com

As far as I know there''s no way of achieving this currently.

Hi,

Could you give an example of how to map into custom domain name www.abc.com instead of subdomain with CNAME record.

For www, it''s required IP address to be mapped in domain name. Currently, Azure compute looks like cannot give static IP for mapping.

Any advice?

Thanks
